Thousands Around Us (Smart 4-Digit Abacus & 9999 Counter)
Source:
Slide beads along a 4-column master abacus (Thousands, Hundreds, Tens, Ones). Photo-interrupter sensors read bead counts in each column, displaying the exact 4-digit number (e.g. 5,432) on a 4-digit LED screen with voice expansion.

Press the blue button. Speaker announces: 'Three Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Two! That's 3 Thousands, 6 Hundreds, 4 Tens, and 2 Ones!'

Why It Works & Notes
Expanding numbers into Thousands (1,000s) requires solid place value structure. Moving physical beads on a Thousands abacus while seeing a 4-digit digital display instantly update to '5,432 = 5000 + 400 + 30 + 2' solidifies 4-digit number sense.
