Place acrylic fraction bars (1/2, 2/4, 4/8) onto a dual load cell balance scale platform. If two fraction sets are mathematically EQUIVALENT (e.g. 1/2 = 2/4), the balance stays perfectly level and green LEDs glow.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Place 1/2 Fraction Bar

Place a 1/2 fraction bar on the left balance pan. Left display reads '1/2 (50%)'.

Test Equivalent Fraction Bars

Place two 1/4 fraction bars on the right balance pan.

Check Equivalent Weight

Dual load cell sensors detect identical weight! Balance stays 100% level.

Equivalent Fraction Audio Proof

OLED displays '1/2 = 2/4'. Speaker celebrates: 'EQUIVALENT FRACTIONS! One-Half is EXACTLY equal to Two-Fourths!'

Why It Works & Notes

Equivalent fractions (1/2 = 2/4 = 4/8) can be difficult to grasp abstractly. Placing one 1/2 bar on the left scale pan and two 1/4 bars on the right scale pan physically proves equal weight and equal fractional area.
