Step-by-Step Instructions

Inspect Shelter Materials

Compare 4 mini homes: Thatch/Straw Roof (Kutcha house), Tin Roof, Concrete Flat Roof (Pucca house), Igloo.

Insert Thermal Probes

Place DS18B20 temperature probes inside each house model.

Switch ON Heat Lamp

Turn on the overhead heat lamp for 3 minutes to simulate scorching afternoon sun.

Compare Indoor Temperatures

LCD displays: Tin Roof = 42°C (HOT!), Thatch Roof = 28°C (COOL!). Speaker explains: 'Straw thatch traps air pockets, keeping Chhota's house cool!'

Why It Works & Notes

Shelters vary by climate (sloping roofs in rainy areas, thick mud walls in hot deserts). Measuring real internal temperature changes under a heat lamp proves why thatch/mud walls keep homes cool while tin roofs trap heat.
